Dorfromantik

Players 1 – 6          Ages 8+          30 to 60min

Burbling rivers, rustling forests, wheat fields swaying in the wind, and here and there a cute little village – that is Dorfromantik! The gaming community has been swooning with delight over the video game by small indie studio Toukana Interactive since its Early Access in March 2021. It has even won several well-known video game awards. Now Michael Palm and Lukas Zach have transformed the popular landscape-building puzzle game into a family board game for all ages with Dorfromantik – The Board Game.

In Dorfromantik – The Board Game, up to six players use hexagonal tiles to form a beautiful landscape together and try to fulfill the wishes of its population. At the same time, they must lay the longest possible train track and the longest possible river, and take the flags into account, which provide points in completed areas. The better the players succeed in designing their landscape, the more points they can achieve at the end of a game. During the replayable campaign, new tiles can be unlocked with the points scored in earlier games. Those tiles are initially hidden in small, closed boxes. They provide the players with new, additional tasks and make it possible to keep increasing the high score in this cooperative game.

Pendragon: Starter Set

It is the age of Pendragon! What kind of Knight will you become?

This is a game of Arthurian legends.

Do you believe in chivalry, or do you think might always makes right? Are you willing to die for your Honor? Will you fight to rid the world of injustice, or use clout and power to take advantage of those beneath you?

Pendragon is a world of brutal medieval realism, that focuses on the emotional impact of play, and strives to make the players feel as invested, loving, and frightened about their characters as their characters themselves would feel. Pendragon is a game that walks a fine line between lethal reality, and the idealism of a visionary life dedicated to the highest values.

What’s Inside?

The Pendragon Starter Set contains everything a fledgling Gamemaster requires to run a band of freshly-knighted characters through several adventures in the historic fantasy of King Arthur’s Britain.

The Pendragon Starter Set contains three soft-cover books. The Adventure of the Sword in the Stone is a solo scenario that teaches you the basic rules as you play.

The World of Pendragon outlines everything you need to know about the setting and core mechanics of the game.

The Sword Campaign is a series of linked, beginner-friendly adventures that take the Player-knights through five in-game years of King Arthur’s reign!

Lastly, the appendix sheets additional rules and setting details you’ll discover as you play through The Sword Campaign.

The Pendragon Starter Set box is bursting with content to help you transport your tabletop to the time of the Round Table. The set comes with 18 perforated cards allowing you to generate combat encounters, and quickly reference enemy combat mechanics. The box also contains 8 pre-generated Player-knights, ready for adventure with full-color character art and backstory.

And, of course, no Starter Set would be complete without a set of dice! The box includes 7 dice: 6D6, and 1D20.

Rear Window

Players 3 – 5          Ages 13+          40mins

Carefully observe strange clues and ominous patterns in the things going on in the apartments across the way. There are parties, knives, a saw, bickering, laughing, music…and a mysterious trunk. Do you detect a murder? Or is the secret, private world of the neighbors planting frightening ideas in your mind?

  • Compelling gameplay that brings the movie to life using cooperative deduction and decision-making.

  • The players are unaware if a murder happened until they start noticing suspicious signs from their neighbors.

  • Beautiful illustrations and design transports players to the era of 1950s murder mysteries.

  • An eye-catching package that features Hollywood legends Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart.

  • The recognition of Alfred Hitchcock and his history of suspenseful filmmaking immediately sets the tone for gameplay.

Doomlings

Players 2 – 6          Ages 10+          20 to 45mins

Somewhere on a doomed and distant planet, life has emerged, competing for supremacy until the world’s inevitable destruction. The object of the game is to score the most points by the time the world ends. Score points by playing Traits for your Doomlings’ species, making them more adaptable, resilient, and mischievous. As your Doomlings assert their dominance, Catastrophes will befall the planet, causing setbacks for each competing species. When the third Catastrophe inevitably strikes, the world ends, and the Doomlings with the strongest set of traits gets to look the Apocalypse in the eye and declare…“I scored the most points!”

Throughout the game, players draw Trait cards from a community pile, and then play them for points. Traits can also have special abilities and bonuses, allowing players to build a wide range of winning combinations. The game is played in rounds, using Age cards, which have different rules that players must follow. But be warned, hidden in the Ages are Catastrophes: special rounds with adverse effects that force players to adapt their strategy.

Doomlings adds a fun twist to hand management, by introducing the “Gene Pool” mechanic. Your Gene Pool is your hand size: it is unique to you, and it can increase or decrease through special Traits, or even Catastrophes. Doomlings includes 6 colorful Gene Pool counter cards, elegantly tracking how many cards you should hold at the end of your turn. There are opportunities to increase your Gene Pool (hand size), which can give your species a leg up by providing a larger pool of Traits to select from each turn.

A lightweight card game for 2-6 players, Doomlings can be played casually amongst friends, or competitively by the gaming enthusiast family. Because there are no duplicate cards, and Age cards are chosen randomly, no two games are ever the same. While the game itself can be learned in 5 minutes or less, don’t be fooled: with 100+ unique Traits—in Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colorless—and rare, powerful Dominant Traits, there are countless combinations of play to be discovered.

A typical game takes between 20-45 minutes, depending on the number of players and sequence of events. Advanced-play expansion packs are also available, including a Hidden Objective expansion for a fun twist to the game. Doomlings requires no dice or additional pieces, just a jolly embrace of the inevitable end of the world!

Turf War: Trick or Treat

*** Note this is an expansion.  You will require the Turf War main game to use this product ***

The first major expansion for Turf War features a Halloween motif. Candy is a new resource that you can buy when you’re Away, earning VP and building a stash. It’s a challenge to hold onto your Candy though: You never know when a Trick-or-Treater is going to pop-up. When they do, you’ll need to give them Candy and score points or else deal with the consequences of whatever trick they play on you.

The expansion adds 72 cards, including monstrous Neighbors, thematically spooky yard decor, Tools, and Pests, and a ton of new Events. The expansion accommodates 2-4 players.

Turf War

Players 2         Ages 14+          15 to 30mins

In this yard-building card game, you race to prove to your neighbors that your lawn is the best on the block – or destroy your rival in the process.

Every game starts with a different, randomized group of Neighbors, each with their own set of criteria. At the start of your turn, you must choose to be Home or Away, giving you access to a different set of actions that you can perform. While Home, you can gain points and abilities by playing cards onto your yard and swaying Neighbors to your side. While Away, you can earn money and get new cards from a shared store, but you leave your yard vulnerable to your rival’s mischief. When the last Neighbor has been swayed, the game ends, and whoever has the most points wins.
