Maximum Apocalypse: Kaiju Rising Expansion

This is an expansion and requires the main game to play.

When monolithic beasts rose from the oceans, our military tried to stop them. As we killed them at great expense and destruction, more kept rising from the depths. Our world is theirs now. They roam the landscape as an ever-present threat while the last of us scrounge on what’s left of our crumbled civilization.

Maximum Apocalypse: Kaiju Rising adds two new survivor characters, the Army Ranger and Scientist. Each character comes with their own unique survivor deck of abilities and equipment cards. The Scientist is clever and adaptable, whereas the Army Ranger is an excellent sniper and crowd-control character.

Finally, this expansion adds a new apocalypse deck of 30 cards with new missions and challenges as you face the largest monsters seen thus far.

Maximum Apocalypse: Jurassic Perils Expansion

This is an expansion and requires the main game to play.

The Geneticists and Scientists made a huge mistake. We were arrogant to think that we could play god and contain mother nature. We didn’t just bring back the dinosaurs, we also brought back Jurassic viruses and diseases that decimated our population. Now our world has returned to the Jurassic period and what’s left of us try to survive the prehistoric perils of these massive carnivores.

Maximum Apocalypse: Jurassic Perils adds the Archaeologist survivor character and the Jurassic Apocalypse. The Archaeologist is high risk adventurer trying to hunt down precious artifacts from our lost civilization. This expansion also introduces a new dino apocalypse deck of 30 cards with new missions and challenging and chaotic monster chain reactions.

Maximum Apocalypse: Bugpocalypse Expansion

This is an expansion and requires the main game to play.

Maximum Apocalypse: Bugpocalypse introduces the giant bug apocalypse deck of 40 cards. These bugs tend to swarm meaning that every time a new monster spawns, you have the chance of having to draw another one. Lucky for you most of these bugs are pretty squishy but keep a look out for large armored beetles and scorpions that can crush a tank!

Maximum Apocalypse

Players 1 – 6         Ages 13+         60 to 90mins

Maximum Apocalypse is a cooperative roguelike adventure game for 1-6 players. In Maximum Apocalypse, civilization has already fallen.  The players are survivors of the apocalypse whose mission is to survive the hostile landscape. The game map is randomly generated and different every time that you play. On each turn, a player can use up to four actions to explore the map, play cards, equip weapons, scavenge for resources, draw cards or battle off monsters.

Picking a unique survivor class within the group, players must plan their strategy and work together while leaning on their survivor’s strengths in order to defeat monsters and avoid starvation. For example, the Fireman is deadly up close with his ax and can easily chop down monsters; meanwhile the stealthy Hunter is great at scouting the map and avoiding traps — but roaming monsters are gathering quickly and time is running out. If you are overwhelmed by monsters or die of starvation, the players lose. If they can find enough gas and get it back to their van to escape, they all win and live to play another scenario.
